Shaker Ladder-Back Side Chair w/Brass Tilters. Maple retaining an old or original orchre painted surface.  Having large elongated finials above three arched slats, terminating in turned brass "tilting buttons".  I have only heard of one other example of a Shaker tilter having brass tilters in wooden sockets.  Enfield, Connecticut or Watervliet, New York.  Circa 1840.
