An elegant early example comprised of all the fine details found in similar examples in the Brick Dwelling House at Hancock Shaker Village. Having raised panel doors (the lower secured by means of a hand wrought iron latch), and molded lip dovetailed drawers with tapered drawer sides. The small mushroom shaped knobs appear to be the originals. Butternut, retaining an old varnish finish. Circa 1830.
This piece was originally built in to the corner of a room with the right side of the case abutting the wall.
