An extremely rare and successful example. Having a round top with a round edge above a classical standard attached to the top via a threaded joint to the cleat, standing on three distinctive cabriole legs. Birch retaining an old varnish finish. One of a handful of such stands made at the Shaker Community in Alfred Maine. Circa 1840.
