Shaker Document Box With Drawers
 
Having a hinged lid, with an applied molding, above a dovetailed case, fitted with three dovetailed drawers, on a simple molded base.  Retains the original flat faced knobs, characteristic of the work of  Br. Freegift Wells (1785-1871).  Pine retaining an old or original stain and varnish surface.  Restoration to molding returns and drawer divider.  Watervliet, New York.  Circa 1840.
