A wonderful small Shaker storage box retaining an old or original bright orange stain and varnish surface. Maple and pine secured by copper brads and rivets. Signed on the underside of the lid "Caroline Tate". Eldress Caroline Tate was the last Eldress at the Shaker Community at Enfield, Connecticut before moving to Watervliet, New York in 1917 where she was made a Trustee in 1921.
